Turkey stocks higher at close of trade; BIST 100 up 0.48%

Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Sports, Non-Metal Mineral Products and Leasing & Factoring sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 added 0.48%.

The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Fenerbahce Futbol AS (IS:FENER), which rose 5.77% or 2.32 points to trade at 42.52 at the close. Meanwhile, Oyak Cimento Fabrikalari AS (IS:OYAKC) added 4.73% or 1.08 points to end at 23.92 and Katilimevim Tasarruf Finansman AS (IS:KTLEV) was up 4.23% or 2.25 points to 55.50 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were MLP Saglik Hizmetleri AS (IS:MPARK), which fell 4.79% or 18.00 points to trade at 358.00 at the close. Oba Makarnacilik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:OBAMS) declined 4.41% or 2.35 points to end at 50.90 and Papilon Savunma Guvenlik Sistemleri (IS:PAPIL) was down 2.53% or 0.34 points to 13.11.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 287 to 275 and 21 ended unchanged.

Shares in Oyak Cimento Fabrikalari AS (IS:OYAKC) rose to all time highs; rising 4.73% or 1.08 to 23.92.

Gold Futures for February delivery was down 0.05% or 1.35 to $2,626.85 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in February rose 1.66% or 1.15 to hit $70.39 a barrel, while the March Brent oil contract rose 1.47% or 1.06 to trade at $73.38 a barrel.

USD/TRY was up 0.27% to 35.26, while EUR/TRY rose 0.18% to 36.65.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.12% at 107.94.
